If the sterilization process was not successful, the indicator media will change to yellow after incubation at<\/span> 37+\/-2\u00b0C, thus indicating the presence of live Bacillus atrophaeus spores. Incubate the processed biological indicator and the indicator used as positive control for a maximum of 48 hours at 37+\/-2\u00b0C. Regarding should be made at convenient intervals of 10 hours. A color change <span class=\"citation-1\">to yellow of the growth indicator media means <\/span><span class=\"citation-1 citation-2 citation-end-1\">a sterilization process failure has occurred. If after 48 hours there is no color<\/span><span class=\"citation-2\"> change in the processed indicators, <\/span><span class=\"citation-2 citation-3 citation-end-2\">a final negative result<\/span><span class=\"citation-3 citation-end-3\"> is made (the sterilization process was acceptable).
