Conformity with EN 868-5. While it is compatible with Hydrogen Peroxide sterilization system, it’s also used for ethylen oxide and gamma sterilization if needed.

RELATED STANDARDS: 4A Medical Container Filter’s Indicator is classified as Typel according to ISO 11140-1 standard.

INTENDED USE: 4A Medical Container filter is used in sterilization containers as a filter and indicator is to control the sterilization process. 4A Medical has round and rectangular container filters.

OPERATION CONDITIONS: 4A Medical Container Filters are designed to operate at the steam cycle. The filter is for single use. It is made of white crepe paper and non-toxic sterilization ink.

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: The sterilization indicator ink used for printing contains the following components in ppm levels:

  • Water (CAS#7732-18-5): 35%
  • Diacetone Alcohol (CAS#123-42-2): 3%
  • Proprietary Mixture (CAS #N/A): 62%

Contains no substance specified as hazardous, which should be taken into account according to EC directives.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: Each pack contains 100 pieces. The indicator is temperature and steam concentration sensitive.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: The expired products are not used. It’s kept in places with room temperature without humidity and sunlight. It shouldn’t be in contact with liquid. Damaged and defective products are not used. Shelf life is 5 years after the production date. After sterilization, the indicator keeps its sterilization color for 6 months.

By the means of this procedure, blood residues remaining on especially surgical instruments that cause cross infection is surely cleaned. After Washing/Disinfection steps, there might be some residues or contaminants left in varying colors that can be observed. It is very essential to identify if the residue is of blood or corrosion, in order to carry out sterilization properly or otherwise to dispose the equipment. This blood residue test developed in our laboratories is an indicator which changes color only with a specific enzyme in the blood. By using this test, it is very easy to identify trace amounts of blood. Without a need of long incubation time, our test is able to identify up to~0.1micrograms of blood in residue, faster than any other test methods, that is as short as 10 seconds
